I am also in the same dilemma and i my best guess is that it may not be needed for implementing the J2ee product provider deployment apis. It will be better if we start building a generic deployment tool..the code u have written may come handy there...the tool will require an implementation of Tool Provider imterfaces specified in the jsr 88 spec..working on the tool will also help in testing the server side deployment components of geronimo..i think the tool will be a better candidate to create..
