I tried updating the jasper jars to the latest versions included with jetty5 and tomcat5. Unfortunately it failed to deploy OK.
I'm on the road at the moment, so I can't report the exact problem - but now that Jan has updated geronimo to use Jetty5, you can reproduce it by updating the jasper jars and deploying console.war.
