I am in a similar situation. Looking for Open Source solutions to integration situations. I have looked at JBss, which is very impressive, but based on my experiences with apache and tomcat I would far prefer to stick with product from the ASF.
It is not too late for me to start looking at Geronimo (hopefully not too early either :-) but situated in South Africa with bandwidth constraints, etc. I have been unable to access the cvs site. Is there some other way I can obtain a version of Geronimo to start evaluating? This might be an odd question for a project that is still highly under development but I am preparing for the future here and I would like to do some experiments already. I am just trying to figure out if this is already the right time to do that. How stable is Geronimo at the moment? I am mainly interested in a JMX core/kernel to build some of my own services on and a Servlet container to run simple web apps in. (Spring powered) Complete J2EE architecture is not very important.
