Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GERONIMO-99
Summary: CreateMBeanInstance/MBeanMetaData parent is an optional attribute
Type: Bug
Status: Open
Priority: Major
Project: Apache Geronimo
Components:
common
Assignee: Gianny DAMOUR
Reporter: Gianny DAMOUR
Created: Mon, 6 Oct 2003 9:14 AM
Updated: Sun, 25 Jan 2004 6:25 PM
Description:
The parent attribute of an MBeanMetaData is an optional attribute. During the
creation of an MBean via CreateMBeanInstance, one must check if this attribute
has been defined. Otherwise, one registers a parent having a null empty.
It is then impossible for this MBean to reach the RUNNING state as its parent
is not null.
I have also updated the scope of two attribtes in order to prepare a
sub-classing.
