Patch Set 3: Yesterday evening I built osmo-trx used by osmo-gsm-tester with this patch enabled, and since then (built 1146) the osmo-gsm-tester with osmo-bts-trx seems a lot more stable: http://jenkins.osmocom.org/jenkins/view/osmo-gsm-tester/job/osmo-gsm-tester_run/
