Patch Set 2: Let's imagine we have bumped the SOVERSION of libosmocore. And made a new release and libosmo-abis is using new API. Will your script point out that configure.ac needs to update the min version?
E.g. as part of building the 201705-sdk I tried the documentation notes to rebuild osmo-bts and it should fail at configure time with the versions of libosmocore pre-installed by the SDK being too old.. instead it bombs out at compile time as some enums got renamed...
