This was related to attempting to fix the infinite "q Enter to close"
msgs bug, which has been properly fixed in
Iebb799493f76fd57f24b15c998ded2bd8e284e6b.
Remove fg to get rid of this error:
zsh:fg:1: no job control in this shell.
