NB that I did not say "get_iplayer" transcodes the audio, I said that THE iPlayer transcodes the audio. I've asked someone at the BBC about this but it seems that the audio is actually transcoded from the "master" AAC to the MP3 files delivered using the flashaudio, iphone formats etc - the MP3 files are for compatibility purposes only remember, their own Flash player uses AAC / AAC HE. _______________________________________________ get_iplayer mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer
