I have recently been having audio/video sync issues on my Win 7 Media Centre box with the MP4 files output by get_iplayer so I thought I'd try MKV instead.
This seems to have cleared up the sync problems for me so I thought I'd share this patch. At the moment the MKV files aren't tagged as I need a bit more time to look into it and it also looks like that will rely on another new dependency. The attached patch is to be applied to the current infradead HEAD revision. Adds a --mkv option
