Sorry if that sounded a bit terse! Basically, it looks to me like get_iplayer ought to handle cases like mine, and also that fixing it to do so might not be all that hard for the developer(s). If I can expedite that process by filing a bug report then I'll gladly do so. (I'm not sure if the dev(s) read this mailing list, and I'm not sure if the dev(s) follow a policy of "Unless a bug report or feature request has been filed, I/we won't do anything about it." After all, on some projects, the developers seem to stay well away from user mailing lists, relying on a bug tracker for contact with the outside world; on other projects, things are very different. Since I'm new to get_iplayer, it seemed best to ask.)
