As commercial broadcasters it is not in their interests to make life easy for us, because we would no longer be a captive commercial- consuming audience and their revenue stream would rightly depreciate.
I think at one point C4 picked up on Phil's (static) IP address and started streaming Countdown at him regardless of which programme he tried to watch. Caveat emptor (well, sort of).
