And those aren't "erroneous" characters. Its the time part of the date string.

Thanks for the prompt response, I must have missed the earlier enquiry.

I'm not very confident with command lines so don't have a clue as to how to add a substitution parameter that contains just the date or how to write a batch file. Guess I'll just have to stick to editing.
