As I suspected - you need to upgrade. The BBC encoding of HD programmes changed about 18 months ago, so get_iplayer 2.82 was patched to adapt. You should install the current version (2.85) to get other necessary fixes. The Fedora package was abandoned after 2.80, so you'll need to install manually. See:
