Just had a quick look - Fedora, like Debian (and hence Ubuntu) seems to be hooked into the version on sourceforge which has stopped development. There's a newer version here: https://bitbucket.org/wez/atomicparsley which supports some additional tag types that get-iplayer can make use of. There is active development going on here.
