I was sure it was, but can't replicate my earlier experiment. There's no need for the backslash. I think what I've found confusing in the past is that I don't seem to be able to repeat a search that found lots of hits with more specific search arguments to narrow things down and always find what I want. For example with search argument: ^heresy: series 7 I find the matching line: Heresy: Series 7 - Episode 1, BBC Radio 4, Comedy,Radio, 4 days 0 hours ag o - The panellists are comedian Rufus Hound, artist Grayson Perry and Julia Hartley-Brewer. But if use search argument: ^heresy: series 7 - episode 1 I find nothing. It's this sort of thing that made me start using part words and ".*" to match unspecified numbers of arbitrary characters. This works: ^heresy: series 7.*episode 1 -- Jeremy Nicoll - my opinions are my own. _______________________________________________ get_iplayer mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer
