Downloading subtitles has nothing to do with whether or not associated
programme is in the cache. This command works fine here:
get_iplayer --subtitles-only --pid b0467gsn
You don't need --modes=subtitles, which is ignored with --subtitles-only.
Post your log output, or at least some error messages. Otherwise, it's
impossible even to guess what went wrong on your machine.
