Subject: Some programs still seem to be missing

get_iplayer isn't indicating any errors when I refresh the cache with
--refresh,
but programs that I can access through the iplayer web site don't
appear
when I search for them in the cache. For example, the iplayer web site
is
showing me that there are 17 programs covering Commonwealth Games
weightlifting available, but when I search the cache with

get_iplayer --long weightlifting

only one program is found, and that's not a specific weightlifting
program but
just part of the general live coverage.

Hi Nick,

I agree. Loads of the Commonwealth Games programmes have disappeared
from the cache, but as you say, you can see them in the iPlayer site.
If it's all the weightlifting sessions you want you can try using the
command line and master PID like this:

get_iplayer --pid-recursive --pid p022g2m6

You could specify the --get option also but I found that was not
necessary in this case.

Yes, I was able to download the programs I wanted that aren't in the cache using the pid from the web link on the iplayer web site. e.g.

get_iplayer --pid=p023cy2v

for the +105kg weightlifting final. I get a succession of messages:

INFO: Episode-only pid detected
INFO: Trying pid: p023cy2v using type: tv
INFO: Trying to stream pid using type tv
INFO: pid not found in tv cache

and it then connects and downloads the program successfully.
