Thanks for all the tips folks. Didn't have to use Command Line window though. Just used Windows Explorer to download 2 files, rename them, then copy them to the get_iplayer folder.
Assuming that you know how to use Windows Explorer to rename files and to copy files. Do this: 1/ go to C:\Program Files\get_iplayer Find get_iplayer.cgi - rename it to get_iplayer.cgi.bak (as a back up) Find get_iplayer.pl - rename it to get_iplayer.pl.bak (as a back up) 2/ using your web browser go to this URL https://raw.github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer/master/get_iplayer.cgi do a File Save As ... to save the file (page) onto your computer (change the destination folder to be somewhere sensible like \downloads) then using Windows Explorer rename it to be get_iplayer.cgi (note no .txt in the name) 3/ go to this URL https://raw.github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer/master/get_iplayer do a File Save As ... to save the file (page) onto your computer (change the destination folder to somewhere sensible like \downloads) then using Windows Explorer rename it to be get_iplayer.pl (note no .txt in the name) 4/ copy the new file get_iplayer.cgi to C:\Program Files\get_iplayer 5/ copy the new file get_iplayer.pl to C:\Program Files\get_iplayer FINAL CHECK STEP 6/ go to C:\Program Files\get_iplayer check that you now have two new files: get_iplayer.cgi get_iplayer.pl and two old back up files get_iplayer.cgi.bak get_iplayer.pl.bak Hope that this all works for you.
