Thanks for checking. I guess it must have been some local issue on the broadband network, as it seems to be working fine again now without changing anything my end.
Not sure why it crashed rtmpdump so often though. Is it "sensitive" to network issues? The "WARNING: HandleInvoke, Sanity failed. no string method in invoke packet" made me think it might be something more serious...
