Sorry I didn't reply straight away.
Looking at the IMDA file (which holds the URLs for streams which
internet radios access - see MUK thread for the URL) there's clear
groups of stream URLs: one lot for UK IPs and one lot for international.
International listeners are served their choice of
HLS/DASH:
48 kbps HE-AAC v1 (sbr_vlow)
96 kbps HE-AAC v1 (sbr_low)
Shoutcast: 128 kbps MP3
CBeebies radio is only available in the UK.
Strangely World Service is only available as 48 kbps MP3 to either UK
or International.
