If you install get-iplayer via Synaptic and the PPA, you'll get the current version and all the dependencies will be pulled in without you having to figure which are required. Add the PPA in Synaptic (Settings / Repositories / PPAs / Add / jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer), update, then search for and install get-iplayer.
