Dear Terry,

    I used getfem on both Linux and Windows. In order to have getfem running on
Windows under Cygwin
you should have some BLAS library available.
    I don't know what exactly you configure script told you, but it was
probably absence of BLAS library.
I, personally, give a preference to ATLAS, a kind of automatically tuned BLAS
that you can compile and install under Cygwin (takes time to compile but no
real work).

    In case the problem was different, before running ./configure you should
try running autogen.sh , which creates a correct ./configure script.

Success,
                        Andriy

  Subject: [Getfem-users] Simple Question

  Hi,

  I am trying to use getfem++ on windows XP.

  Have cygwin,

  Have Borland C++ compiler,

  Have Visual C++ compiler.

  The "sh ./configure" for a basic install under cygwin does not work.

  Has anyone had success in trying to get getfem++ to fly on Windows.

  Prepared to spend some time (and to document for others) if I can get some
pointers.

  Regards

  Terry Hendicott
