Maybe we could reproduce these errors with gcc by using the -D_GLIBCXX_DEBUG
flag as described in
https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/manual/debug_mode_using.html#debug_mode.using.mode
.
I would also be interested in implementing any fix that can improve the
quality of the code but I assume it will be really many places in the code
where this error occurs.
