Dear Ryan,

If you have normal vectors to the faces, the simplest is to use them
using the 'outer_faces_with_direction' method
of the interface for instance. Otherwise, you ave also the
'outer_faces_in_box' method.
If the mesh is produced by gmsh, you can also import the face numbering.
