Hi Jack,
That gave me the clue I needed. I changed my row height by one pixel
and adjusted the listbox so the bottom line just shows above the
border but not enough to distract visually and that was enough to
stop the scrolling.

It depends on your objectives. EditCell causes a scroll to the
clicked cell and makes it temporarily editable. If you don't want the
scroll then you could set cells to editable in code using CellType or
ColumnType without scrolling.
