You're checking the row that's currently selected. You should be checking
the row that's being painted.
You may have more luck with this.
If val(me.cell(row,4))<0 then
g.foreColor = RGB(196, 0, 0)
else
g.foreColor=RGB(0 ,0, 0)
end
