You are 'oh-so-close' to getting it right. All you need is an example
of the correct code. To do that, it would be helpful for you to
answer the two questions I asked. What objects do preferences and
homepage or welcome refer to in the following lines:
preferences.homepage.text= t.readline
preferences.welcome.text = t.readline
If you wish, you can send this to me off list. I don't wish to send
you some code that won't work but your examples vary so much I am not
clear on your controls and/or where they are.
