I think I replied regarding this some time ago. Maybe that's what you're
talking about?

You should be able to search the font folder for the existence of this font
(Microsoft Sans Serif) when the application opens. If not, substitute it
with something else...like Tahoma.

Here is the e-mail I sent then:

_____________________________________________
It appears that "Window text" on Windows is MS Sans Serif and that the OS
forces it to appear at 11 pt. or more. This is how it seems to me, anyway.

Searching through my font folder, I also saw Microsoft Sans Serif. This
font seems to look exactly the same and can be resized as you are trying to
do. At least, I know it can be set in a static text box, whereas the font
size for "System" cannot.

There is also a "Small Fonts," but small fonts seemed to give the same
results as using System in the IDE.

So, if you set the font to Microsoft Sans Serif, you should be able to size
the text as you like.

NOTE 1:
I tested this on WinXP, and have no idea if Microsoft Sans Serif is
installed by default on XP boxes or that it exists on Win 98, 2000, ME, etc.

NOTE 2:
The text you display will ignore system theme settings. Actually, this
might also be on the upside considering some of the themes that people come
up with :)

NOTE 3:
You have to be careful when manually setting font sizes in the windows you
display. Screen resolution settings can make smaller fonts difficult to
read or even impossible to read.

If possible, it might be better to make the main text bold and to leave
normal the text you want to be smaller?
