BTW, what does the error 102 mean ? LangRef says it may not be an error...
#102 means "Lost Connection", and is expected if you call the
socket's Disconnect() method.
The error codes are described in the "SocketCore" Super class in the
language reference. In addition to these error codes, there could
be additionl error codes provided by the operating system (but I
have yet to see one of those).
Thanks.
I spent a whole week (day AND night, you know what amateur coding can
do to a human brain...) trying to solve one little problem, that
should be a standard issue. How can I detect the internet connexion
status of my mac ?
The System NetworkInterface object tells whether I am on a network.
Being behind a router, this tells me finely the local address and
checks for LAN status. But how can I know if the DSL modem to which
the router is connected is running and connecting me to internet ?
Using a call to HTTPSocket.Get(someaddress) runs fine when I am
connected, but spins the mad pizza indefinitely when not. This is a
clear answer but I would like to have a fast and non-blocking
answer...
Please, help a poor soul...
Thanks!
(RB555 on mac os10.3.9, but I would like a solution for all system versions)
