I have had this problem where I can open a real database that my app can only open a real data base if it was created on the same platform (mac and windows). And I have gotten around it by having a 2nd open menu for cross platform which uses a file filter type of "special/any" in the dialog box. However, I need to automatically open a real data base and I only created it on mac. How can I access it in windows? When I try it dies at f.exists - but the same file and same code works fine on Mac. Is there some way I can set the filter type for a folderitem? I don't see a way.
Greg PS - Thanks for all the great response about the Windows system font issue. I have save all of it, and will get to that after I put out some other fires. It looks like good stuff and I appreciate all the comments from RBNUBE and others! _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
