Can anyone provide pointers on what I would need to learn to get a
TCPSocket to communicate with an FTP server? I don't need much, the
ability to log in, get a listing of files in a particular directory,
download them and delete them. So far, I'm using a combination of
AppleScript and the ftp command line tool, but I'd like to make this
cross platform if possible. I have seen some plugins and classes
available, and have tried the FTPKit class, but have found it a
little buggy and don't like that I can't see the source.
