I came out with a work-around to the limited cursor problem... refresh rates can be a bear, but it works great otherwise :)
You need two things: a blank cursor, and the image you want your 'cursor' to be. 1. Drag a new canvas/image holder into the area 2. Change the background to your image 3. From within the window/object you want the cursor to display, code the mouse cursor change to be the invisible cursor - the blank cursor. 4. Also, script out some code that captures your mouse's X-Y coords and then forces the image to match the mouse's. I have a blank cursor for free use by anyone at my website... The two pertinant files I have are listed below for download and are made available free for public & commercial use :^) http://atfirstsite.homestead.com/files/invisible.cur http://atfirstsite.homestead.com/files/mousecsr.rb ~ AmyE Barnes > > How do you create a cursor in RealBasic > I know you can use ResEdit > but I thought that ResEdit and resource files were out of date > So what's the new way? _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
