I'm not sure if RB can do this alone. I remember asking a similar question a year ago or so and I don't think I received an answer.
I think this can be done using AppleScript from within your RB application. You can probably also accomplish the same thing by launching an external VBS script or BAT file on Windows, but again, I'm not sure.
