What is a mask, with regard to icons, and how is it created? The User Guide doesn't explain.

Hi Steven.

You create a mask the same way you create the icon itself - by some kind of image-editing program, such as Photoshop. RB does not provide this facility directly.

The mask is a black-and-white image the same size as the icon. Wherever it is black, the icon will show. Wherever it is white, the icon will not be visible; the user will see whatever background was "behind" on the screen, before the icon was drawn.
