I wanted to determine which fired first, a window's activate event or a
window's open event. To do this I created a window with one pushbutton on it
(Exit) and placed MsgBox statements in both the activate and open events for
the window. The window's activate event fires first followed by the window's
open event. However, following the open event, 34 more activate events occur
after which the window freezes. Can anyone explain why the windows activate
event would continue to occur after the window opens, why precisely 34 more
times, and why the window freezes after completing the activate events? Will
someone please verify what I've described above? After deleting the window's
activate event MsgBox, I placed a MsgBox statement in the pushbutton's open
event. The pushbutton's open event fired before the window's open event. It
seems to me that the window should open prior to the pushbutton opening. What
concept, obvious or otherwise, am I missing?
Sincerely,
Steven Hedgepeth
