Hello;
I have version 5.5.4 which I run on a G4 powerbook with 10.3.9.
Now I need to upgrade the OS to 10.4 because I fried my DVD
burner and the new double layer burners need 10.4.
So will RealBasic 5.5.4 run on Mac OSX 10.4??
should
wasn't 5.5.5 a free upgrade ?
May be, but I didn't see it on the upgrade page.
You may have to ask real for it directly which may still cost you money
They've removed old versions from the servers because they were
getting hacked and people were using them for free
Of course this could be good for REAL if they did what Borland did
years ago with Turbo Pascal
They knew folks were stealing the software but it was really useless
without the manuals and language references
So people would buy it just to get the manuals
REAL would be smart to take advantage of this and make it so the old
versions that can be hacked have no LR in them so that it's not as
useful without manuals and the LR
