On Mac and Windows the text is not grayed out IF the EditField is
set to
Styled in the Properties pane AND the text you are displaying is
not located
in the Text property of the Properties pane.
Are you sure that your EditField is setup like this?
Oops!! In all my experimenting I had deselected 'Styled' - that makes
ALL the difference!
In 2006r1 at least, it doesn't matter where the text comes from - it
is no longer grayed out.
That is exactly the look I am after :-)
