Hi everyone,
I am trying to do a simple little database editor within an app (Mac
OSX), and the User's Manual for RB 2006 has an example that is just
what I need. It says you can use a DataControl to navigate around the
database, and you can bind the DataControl to editfields that pull up
the values in the db columns. You can also bind the DataControl to
buttons that will clear the editfields so you can make a new record,
insert the contents of the editfields into a new record, update an
existing record, and delete an existing record. Everything works fine,
except that the Insert button doesn't actually insert anything. It
does clear the editfields like it is supposed to, but there is no new
record in the database. I do have the "Commit" checkbox checked in the
DataControl properties.
Any ideas on what to do? I only program out of necessity, so I don't
relish the idea of programming the whole thing.
