Well, I'm doing my best to cause problems and it's actually ended up working out "OK".
I am running a demo of Vista, and to make that worse, I'm running it in Parallels. The RB 5.5.5 installer will not run. It gives a message something to the effect of, "This operating system is not adequate." I was able to get around it by copying the RB5.5.5 program directory to the Vista system and it all seems to work well. I'm guess that not many registry entries were created by RB 5. I did have to give the user I'm logged in as full control over the RB5.5.5 directory so that I could debug unsaved projects. Saved projects seem to work fine. Hopefully this will help other people who continue to use RB 5.5.5...
