I am willing to wait and see and hope that their plans are workable

Been relying on that for about 10 years.
They've handled it in a way that they get beaten up yet again. They
must have some kind of masochistic streak.
While I'm willing to cut them a little slack I have to admit that
"trust me" or "trust us" is wearing very very thin.
So I hedge my bets.
