The "normal" gforth needs a POSIX compliant OS running on the board, like Linux. I use gforth on the GNUBlin Board http://gnublin.embedded-projects.net, the Intel Galileo https://www.arduino.cc/en/ArduinoCertified/IntelGalileo and the Raspberry Pi https://www.raspberrypi.org. These might be seen as SBC. And then there is Gforth-ec, the embedded version of gforth, which supports many processor types and can run on bare hardware (without an OS). To use gforth-ec, you usually need to write some kind of initialization code for your board. Best regards Carsten
