I didn't want to post that info here, because it is somewhat off-topic. I
was mostly interested in referrals for a FORTH compiler for OSX.

I don't have the output here (at work), but basically, several of the
./configure steps reported warnings that should be reported to Gnu (which I
did).
I then- tried to run make (just to see how far it would get), which failed
very early on, for hard errors (as opposed to warnings).

I will post the output of the configure step when I get home tonight
(sometime after 7PM PST).
