        S3 Savage4.

There is a KGI driver. It is not exactly bug-free, and I cannot
release the source, but I can make binaries available.

Well, there is already an open source XFree86 driver for
framebuffer only, this would be easy to port and I can probably release
that stuff from my KGI driver as source as well. And I can release KGIcon
driver binaries with 2D accels and some basic 3D accels (multitextured
triangle drawing). The 2D and 3D accels part will probably not be
releaseable as source, however. You can try mailing S3 to ask them what
is releaseable as source, but since their purchase of Diamond they seem
completely unresponsive to e-mails, even from me |-<. So, I will do what
I can in my spare time to support this card, but frankly the hardware
continues S3's long tradition of buggy, broken chipsets, which means that
I will probably switch to something better designed (like Permedia2) to
use as a basis for KGI 3D driver development. Just letting you know....

Jon
