Someone recently committed lots of new ATI code to the GLX
project's CVS repository. That might also help.

KGI itself has nothing to do with fdbev, other than they are both
Linux kernel graphics driver systems. KGIcon, which is what is currently
being used, has quite a bit to do with fbdev. KGIcon is a wrapper layer
which allows you to use KGI drivers as fbdev drivers.

Basic fbdev drivers are unaccelerated, so this is true. However,
KGIcon drivers are able to handle kgicommand ioctls through the fbdev
interface, and as such can be fully accelerated.

There are a few entries in the GGI FAQ, as well as some API design
documents floating around.

Read the API documentation and .h files. And ask questions on
this list.

Look at the existing Permedia2 KGI driver. It was created by
chopping up the PM2 fbdev driver.
