Dan,

Do you have datasheets for the Via video chipset, or do you have
datasheets for the Trident CyberBlade (which is different)?

If you have specs on the Trident chip, I think it would be fun to have a
go at a GGI 3D driver. I initially wanted to work on the Virge 3D
support in GGI, but I think that working on Savage or Trident 3D support
for GGI would be much more worthwhile. (though my current project is 2D
fbdev support for S3 chips)

BTW, what CVS server has the bleeding-edge-latest fbcon-kgi? Is it in
the 'degas' module or somewhere else?

Thanks,

        Jeff
