image loading

Hi there.

If I remember well (the mailing-list archive seems to be in
alzeimer's terminal phase...), there was a discussion some time
ago about a generic lib to load image files into a ggi visual.

I'd like to know if somebody's still working on it and if there
is some kind of functional code somewhere.
