Connected, but unsure what GGI is

Hi all, my name is Alistair, I am a assembly language
programmer from New Zealand.  I have joined a few
groups and cannot remember what the GGI group is.

Could some one please bring me up to speed with what
the objective is.  
I have been logged on for a month or so and have read
the messages sent to me.
