What about a "GUIDE to graphics on Linux?". There is a Framebuffer-HOWTO
already on LDP ( http://www.linuxdoc.org/ ). One could derive a "GGI
HOWTO" or a more general "graphics HOWTO" out of it.
The TOC of it could be:
Overview
-Hardware
-Software
...
Ideas/concepts of GGI
Setting up the targets
-Settung up framebuffer
-Setting up KGI
...
Multiheading
Installing the libs
-GGI
-GII
Programms useing GGI
-XGGI (setup)
-Some wired Programm (setup)
Programmers guide
-GGI
-GII
FAQ
KNOWNBUGS
I would go for it if someone is willing to correct my mistakes and is
willing to answer my stupid questions. I'm upto now not a graphic hacker
but am uptodate with XML/SGML. I'm willing to dive into the code of GGI
and the kernel. What do you think? One definite guide for setup and
programming? At least I would learn a lot about GGI & Co.
