in fact, I think you shouldn't write yet another target, you should just add that
to the shm memory-visual since the need for feedback is intrinsic to all distributed
visuals and the shm memory-visual itself wouldn't be complete without it (it's a nice
toy, but...). Just try to use a mechanism which is common to all platforms ggi supports
such as named pipes (fifos) and everybody will be happy...
