That sounds like a problem with copybox acceleration. please comment out
the

# Fbdev accels
.include /usr/local/etc/ggi/targets/fbdev.conf

in libggi.conf. That should disable accels and thus it should work again.

That really sounds like broken copybox.

console errors caused by this, not LibGGI errors ...
